(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The Columbus Symphony Orchestra (CSO) has introduced its new iPhone application, which allows fans to experience the Symphony anytime, anywhere. Created with the classical music online resource InstantEncore, the CSO app has already been downloaded more than 300 times in 16 different countries.

“Fans of the Columbus Symphony don’t have to physically be in the Ohio Theatre to access their favorite performance or to learn about a featured composer anymore,” said President and CEO Roland Valliere. “They can connect, listen and learn with one touch.” With this application, Symphony fans can access concert programs, CSO news, audio excerpts of past performances, program notes, and even purchase tickets to upcoming concerts. The CSO’s iPhone app also offers streaming audio of recent performances such as the recent Dvo?ák’s New World Symphony pieces by utilizing the radio feature.

“The new iPhone app will make the concert a more memorable experience for everyone,” said Valliere. “Thanks to these technologies, anyone can become a CSO and classical music fan.”

To learn more about the Columbus Symphony iPhone app, symphony fans can visit www.ColumbusSymphony.com ,  the iPhone app is available for download here from the iTunes store.
