The Columbus Symphony Orchestra League is one of the orchestra’s most ardent support groups contributing more than $1 million over the past 25 years. The first $400,000 was endowed for the Harp Chair while succeeding monies have helped to sponsor concerts, provide assistance with the Music Library, purchase new instruments and to buy equipment needed for running a Symphony office. In the years to come the League is dedicated to “Creating a Legacy of Music for the Community while Raising Significant Funds for the Columbus Symphony.” The CSOL recently held their first annual Golf Outing resulting in enough funds raised to present the Symphony with a check for $35,000. Other fund raising events include Café Concerts held in lovely homes with beautiful music provided by musicians from the CSO. An annual fashion show at Saks Fifth Avenue not only helps the League raise funds but provides members and friends with an entertaining evening . The CSOL women welcome new members to join them in a mutual love of classical music and shared friendships supporting the wonderful Columbus Symphony.
